Why AquaVBC

Cryogenics is unforgiving. Our equipment isn't.

Every vessel we ship is designed around one goal: keep the cold in, keep the boil-off out, and keep operators safe. That means multi-layer super-insulation, high vacuum sustained under load, and welded joints that we back with our own field service.

❄

Extreme Thermal Efficiency

Multi-layer insulation combined with sustained high vacuum keeps boil-off rates below 0.35% per day on our standard bulk tanks β€” well under industry norms.

πŸ›‘

Code-Compliant Vessels

Pressure vessels designed and stamped to ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1, with full material traceability and radiographic weld inspection.

πŸ”§

Serviced for Life

We do not walk away after delivery. Every system ships with commissioning support, an operator training session and a 10-year vacuum warranty.

πŸ“

Custom Engineering

Non-standard footprint, unusual pressures, tight schedule? Our in-house design team handles one-off configurations that catalog suppliers turn away.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Built in Colorado

Machined, welded and tested in our Rifle, CO facility. Domestic steel, domestic labor, direct lines to the engineers on your project.

⚑

Fast Turnaround

Standard vessels typically ship in 6–10 weeks. Rush production available for outage and emergency-replacement scenarios.

Our Story

A Colorado shop that grew into a cryogenic OEM.

AquaVBC was started in 2011 by Rich Dunning after two decades welding pressure vessels for the oil-and-gas and industrial-gas markets in the Rockies. What began as a repair shop for third-party dewars has grown into a full manufacturer serving customers in food processing, biotech, aerospace propulsion testing, semiconductor fabs and university research labs across North America.

Today our 28,000-square-foot facility outside Rifle houses CNC machining, in-house polishing, ASME-certified welding, a dedicated vacuum-bake tunnel and full hydro / helium leak-test bays. Every vessel that leaves the door has been pressure-tested, evacuated, and helium-leak-checked below 1Γ—10⁻⁹ mbarΒ·L/s.

In their words

What our customers say.

"We replaced a 6,000-gallon tank on a two-week outage window and AquaVBC hit it. The new vessel has been holding a lower boil-off number than the OEM spec on our old one."

Daniel R. β€” Plant ManagerRegional food processor, Nebraska

"Their engineering team actually reads the drawings. We got a VIP run installed at our test cell without a single field change order, which is a first for us."

Priya S. β€” Test Facility LeadAerospace propulsion lab, Texas

"Rich and his crew retrofitted our lab freezers with auto-fill controllers and the sample-loss incidents dropped to zero. Simple, well-built, no drama."

Dr. Michael T. β€” Biobank DirectorUniversity research hospital, Colorado
